Ferrimagnetic materials can have greater magnetic moments than ferromagnetic materials. While both exhibit spontaneous magnetization, the difference lies in the alignment of their magnetic moments. In ferromagnets, all magnetic moments align parallel, leading to a strong overall magnetization. In ferrimagnets, the magnetic moments align antiparallel but with unequal magnitudes, resulting in a net magnetic moment. The strength of this net moment can be higher than that of a ferromagnet if the difference in the magnitudes of the antiparallel moments is large enough.
