NaCl+HCl reaction

Accepted Answer

There is no chemical reaction between NaCl (sodium chloride, table salt) and HCl (hydrochloric acid). Both NaCl and HCl are already in their simplest ionic forms in solution. NaCl is a salt, and HCl is a strong acid. When they are mixed, they form a solution containing Na+, Cl-, and H+ ions.
