Questions asked by users might not always be phrased in the clearest way.
A coordination complex with a large energy gap between its highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) would have the least intense UV-Vis peak. This is because the energy difference between these orbitals corresponds to the energy of light absorbed, and a larger energy gap requires higher energy (shorter wavelength) light for absorption. Consequently, the absorbance in the UV-Vis region would be weaker.
