Would Para Red make a good acid-base indicator? How would you tell experimentally?

Para Red is an azo dye, not an acid-base indicator. Acid-base indicators change color depending on the pH of the solution. Para Red does not exhibit this property. To determine if a compound could be an acid-base indicator, you could perform a titration experiment. Add the compound to a solution with a known pH and observe if a color change occurs. You could then repeat the experiment with solutions of different pH values to establish the range over which the compound changes color.
