Frequently Asked Question

Questions asked by users might not always be phrased in the clearest way.

I have to make a mixture by mixing hydrogen peroxide with water, but by doing this, bubbles are formed in the mixture. How can i eliminate these bubbles While i sealed the mixture in a dark container, did not use any metallic thing and used HDPE container, what should i add to this mixture so that the bubbles disappear very soon

Accepted Answer

To eliminate bubbles from a hydrogen peroxide mixture, add a small amount of a surfactant, such as sodium lauryl sulfate. This will reduce the surface tension of the liquid, causing the bubbles to burst. Additionally, consider using degassed water to prepare the mixture, as this will minimize the amount of dissolved gases that can form bubbles. Gently stirring the mixture with a non-metallic utensil can also help to remove bubbles.
